1. What is the Klyqa Air Klyna?
Our Air Klyna is the first smart air purifier in our product range. Like all smart devices manufactured by Klyqa, it has been specially designed to be energy- and cost-saving, sustainable and practical.
The filter mesh, which can be washed up to 5 times, and the main filter, which needs to be changed every 8-9 months, are durable, which also contributes to sustainability: the longer a device lasts, the less often it needs to be replaced, which benefits both your wallet and the environment.
2. Unboxing and first impressions
“The Air Klyna arrived safely and in economical packaging. A compact yet comprehensive user manual and product description, a cable, and a sleeve with a design of my choice were included. As expected, the device has a modern and understated design and blends perfectly with my home office decor.”
3. Installation and commissioning
“Before unpacking the smart device any further, I took a closer look at the instruction manual and followed the steps. For the initial setup, you have to remove the still-packaged filter from the Air Klyna, unpack it and put it back in, then plug the device into a power outlet and switch it on.”
“Then I opened the Klyqa app and tapped the “+” icon in the upper right corner to add the new device to my Wi-Fi network and the app. I was prompted to scan the QR code on the filter so that its lifespan could be calculated and I would be notified in time to change it in 8-9 months.”
“When setting up the device, you only need to make sure that it is placed on a flat surface at least 20 centimeters away from all other surfaces in the room, that it is not wet or heated, and that nothing is ever placed on top of it. Overall, I find it practical and easy to care for.”
4. Smart features
“I already use smart lights from Klyqa and have also tested the Klyqa Strype , so I'm very familiar with the app. I like the clear design and the intuitive functions, such as being able to sort all my Klyqa devices into their own groups or rooms to synchronize their settings.”
All functions of the Air Klynas can also be managed manually or automated via the app. Using timers or fully automatic control, users can configure the device to purify the air at the right time and to the desired extent – before arriving home, during quiet hours, or when certain pollen counts are particularly high.
The smart device learns from the behavior of the residents and, if authorized, can act independently to operate in a particularly energy-saving and efficient manner and to adapt to usage habits.
The integration of common voice commands from Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple's Siri is also practical for integrating the Air Klyna into the smart home network and controlling it centrally and hands-free.
“I also like having an insight into the air quality in my apartment. A light indicates the measured level with green, yellow, orange or red light and keeps you informed.”
5. Daily Use
“For my product test, the Air Klyna wandered through my apartment and even met my cat. The first thing I noticed was that the air purifier completely sucked up the hair – no more orange fuzz! My cat has very long, thick fur that needs to be brushed daily, and the Air Klyna ensures that this fur no longer flies around. The device is so quiet that it doesn't bother my cat at all.”
Although I don't have any allergies, so I can't judge its effectiveness, the smell of the cat litter box completely disappeared when I placed the air purifier in the bathroom. Even in the kitchen, the activated carbon filter absorbed stubborn odors from fish and garlic.
“In the evening, I tried out the light synchronization of the Klyna's ambient light with my smart lighting. In the Klyqa app, I was able to sort all devices into a “room” and then choose individual colors or from a list of versatile lighting scenarios.”
“Before going to bed, I switched the air purifier to night mode and placed it as far away from the head of my bed as possible. It is quiet and consistent, and I was able to quickly get used to the new noise and fall asleep. In the end, it didn't bother me.”
“I didn’t have to clean it during my test, but the process is clearly and well-structured in the instructions, illustrated with pictures, and seems feasible and straightforward.”

🤔 As with all air purifiers, the filter's lifespan decreases after opening the packaging, even if the device is not actively used, because dust and bacteria accumulate on the filter.
Conclusion: The Klyqa Air Klyna in everyday use - is it worth it?
“If the neutralization of viruses and allergens works as well as the filtering out of odors and cat hair, I would like to have at least one more Air Klyna.”

Also noteworthy is the product's design and its compatibility with Klyqa's smart lighting, which were given special attention. This allows the Air Klyna to blend seamlessly into any room and even serve as an additional light source.
Clean air prevents illness and allergies, makes breathing easier, and reduces the accumulation of dust and pet hair on surfaces within the device's operating area. This makes a smart air purifier particularly suitable for pet owners, allergy sufferers, or people with respiratory conditions, allowing them to breathe freely and cough-free at home.
